    Building Connection Through Change

Client Snapshot

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) is the world’s largest association for meeting and event professionals. Its chapters bring together planners, suppliers, and industry partners to exchange insights, build community, and advance the profession through education and leadership.

Lead at Any Level® has collaborated with multiple MPI chapters—including Indiana, Philadelphia, and Chicago—to deliver transformative programs on inclusion, leadership, and change. Each collaboration reflects MPI’s commitment to professional growth and Amy C. Waninger’s reputation for engaging, actionable content.

The Challenge

Across local chapters, MPI leaders share a common goal: to offer members education that feels timely, energizing, and deeply relevant to their work.

  • MPI Indiana sought to host one of its first programs focused explicitly on bias, inclusion, and representation within the meetings industry.

  • MPI chapters in Philadelphia and Chicago wanted programs that would re-engage members after years of industry upheaval—addressing burnout, change fatigue, and the need for renewed professional connection.

  • MPI Indiana is again investing in programming that helps members adapt to a rapidly evolving industry landscape.

Each engagement called for sessions that balanced learning with inspiration, providing both self-reflection and practical tools members could apply immediately.

Our Contributions

MPI Indiana Chapter

Lead at Any Level’s partnership with MPI Indiana began with two interactive programs:

  • Breaking Down Bias for the chapter’s first education event of the year, held at Bullseye Event Center in Indianapolis.

  • Network Beyond Bias for the Board of Directors retreat the following day.

Both sessions encouraged participants to explore the intersections of identity, bias, and belonging within the meetings industry. Attendees shared candid reflections, identified barriers to inclusion, and developed strategies for creating more welcoming chapter experiences.

That relationship continues to evolve. Amy will return to deliver Moving from Panic to Purpose: Responding to Changes in Your Career at the chapter’s first meeting of the year. The program will help members navigate personal and professional transitions with resilience and confidence—bringing Lead at Any Level’s message full circle from inclusion to adaptability.

MPI Greater Philadelphia Chapter

MPI Greater Philadelphia invited Amy to present Moving from Panic to Purpose at its signature Bosses’ Night event at Valley Forge Casino Resort. The session helped planners and suppliers recognize their responses to uncertainty and reframe change as opportunity.

Attendees described the experience as “different and refreshing,” “funny but very thought-provoking,” and “absolutely amazing.” One committee member said Amy “set a new bar for what we expect from speakers.”

The event earned a perfect 10/10 satisfaction rating, and organizers highlighted Amy’s professionalism and comprehensive pre- and post-event communication as key factors in its success.

MPI Chicago Area Chapter

MPI Chicago’s Leadership Day featured a full-day program designed to inspire both current and emerging leaders. Amy delivered a keynote (Network Beyond Bias), a follow-up workshop (Building Strong Professional Networks with Intention), and moderated the MPI CAC Leadership Panel.

Earlier that year, she also facilitated Network Like a CHAMP for the chapter’s Board of Directors—introducing the five critical connections every professional needs to thrive.

The Leadership Day experience combined inspiration with practical takeaways, encouraging members to connect intentionally, lead inclusively, and strengthen their chapter’s community.

Chapter leader Jared Ellis-Perez later shared:

“A truly collaborative experience. Amy was prepared and uniquely tailored the day to our organization. She is a wealth of knowledge. I hope every leader has the opportunity to experience her message.”

Our Results

Across all three chapters, Lead at Any Level programs delivered measurable impact and long-term value.

  • MPI Indiana’s early sessions opened space for honest dialogue on bias and belonging within the meetings industry.

  • MPI Philadelphia’s Bosses’ Night became one of the chapter’s highest-rated education events of the year.

  • MPI Chicago members praised Amy’s ability to make complex subjects accessible and energizing, calling the day “inspiring,” “approachable,” and “empowering.”

Talkadot feedback across all events reflected overwhelmingly positive ratings, with participants frequently describing Amy’s delivery as engaging, relatable, inspiring, and actionable.

Looking Ahead

Lead at Any Level’s evolving work with MPI—from early inclusion programming to leadership development and change management—illustrates how sustained collaboration can raise the bar for chapter education. With new programs scheduled and strong relationships in place, Amy continues to help meeting professionals nationwide lead with confidence, purpose, and connection.
